Chanti (Ishan), a happy going young man falls in love with Anjali (Angela Krislinzki), daughter of city commissioner. Later she marries a cop (Subbaraju). From then, Chanti starts hating women and he happens to face a fight with a cop and injures him. After feeling bad for the cop who he injured, Chanti decides to help his family. He then meets a beautiful young girl whose name is also Anjali (Mannara Chopra). After knowing that a psycho (Anoop Singh Thakur) is obsessed with her, Chanti plans to protect her from him. How their journey ends in love and how Chanti solved Anjali’s problems is what the remaining story is about.
Ishan delivers an exceptional performance and carried stunning looks throughout the film. Mannara Chopra looks more beautiful in rogue and is impressive in romantic scenes. Anoop Singh Thakur is decent in the negative role. Angela Krislinzki does not have much to offer and is limited to her role. Ali failed to generate humour this time as well.
Songs are good and the background score is impressive. Cinematography is good. Production values are topnotch. Director Puri Jagannadh has come up with his typcial screenplay and does not portray anything new in particular. It’s high time he got rid of the cliched format.
Performance of lead roles
Rogue is a typical Puri Jagannadh film that could impress the mass audiences. However it cannot stand a chance among the class section because of the routine commercial story and predictable second half. Watch it for the lead pari’s chemistry and Puri’s dialogues.
Deccan Report Rating: 2/5
Here is the pre review of Rogue review and rating!
Dashing director Puri Jagannadh has been striving hard to bounce back with a hit as his last two movies, Loafer and Ism did not reach the expectations. The Temper director is introducing a new hero, Ishan with his upcoming movie Rogue. The Telugu-Kannada bilingual project has hit the screens today. Hope Puri bags a hit and delivers a super hit for Ishan.

Rogue is the story of a tough, young man (Ishan) who maintains his distance with girls. However, he initially falls in love with a beautiful girl (Angela Krislinzki) and later gets separated for certain reason. Being in the break up mood he accidentally meets another young lady (Mannara Chopra) who is already facing life and death issues. How the hero takes over her problems and tackles them and how they both fall in love during their journey form the remaining story.
Debutant Ishan looks stunning and wild as a tough going guy. He must work more on screen presence and his acting skills. Angela Krislinzki looks gorgeous and Mannara Chopra would steal the show with her acting as well as glamorous performance. Ali’s comedy and emotional sequences seem decent.
Visuals are top notch. Songs are not bad and background score fails terribly. Production values are decent. Coming to direction, Puri Jagannadh seems to be following the same pattern since long time and the hero characterization appears no different from that of his earlier flicks. However, that is the major factor why the masses love his movies. Hope he delivers a hit with Rogue.
Best wishes from Deccan Report to the entire cast and crew of Rogue.
