Let us see whether Nagaram’s potentiality can bring success to the ‘Venkatadri Express’ star.

A young man (Sri) comes to city in search of a job and attends an interview and meets a young lady (Regina Cassandra) who works as an HR of the department. Sundeep Kishan who is already in love with Regina, attacks a man with acid who earlier threatens Regina.

On a parallel note, a middle aged man (Charlie), working as a driver, arrives in the same city for his son’s treatment. How these four lives get linked to the kidnap form the remaining story.

Cast performance:

Sundeep Kishan deserves huge applause for choosing to act in a film like Nagaram which has no hero elevating scenes and sticks to the plot till the end. His performance is exceptional as well. Regina, Sri, Charlie and Madhusudhan are quite good in their roles.

Technical Aspects:

Javed Riaz’ background score is impressive. Cinematography, editing and production values are top notch. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has executed the story with an intriguing screenplay and is successful in holding the audiences’ interest right from the beginning to the end. However, he failed to add commercial elements to the film which might not cater to all sections of audiences.

Performance of lead characters

Slow paced first half

Lack of commercial elements

Final verdict:

Nagaram is an interesting crime thriller with intriguing screenplay. Story, execution and performance of the lead roles are what makes the movie worth watch whereas lack of commercial elements is the major drawback of the film. Watch it if you are a fan of thriller genre flicks.
